Round 7 most important game was a defeat of league's leaderCriollos (6-3). They were edged by third ranked Gigantes (5-3) 103-101 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Criollos. The hosts trailed by 10 points after three quarters before their 37-25 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely Criollos outrebounded Gigantes 42-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American guard Jaylen Nowell (193-1999, college: Washington) who led his team to a victory scoring 38 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. The former international point guard Tremont Waters (180-1998, college: LSU) helped adding 22 points and 7 assists. At the losing side American center Moses Brown (218-1999, college: UCLA) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import point guard Travis Trice II (183-1993, college: Michigan St.) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Criollos' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Carolina have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 5-3 record having five points less than leader Arecibo. Caguas at the other side dropped to the second position with three games lost. They share it with Aguada. They were replaced at the leadership position by Arecibo.
